1. Tideflex Valves Models & Applications “13 years, no maintenance” - Steve K Since its creation in 1984, years of research and development, testing and proven performance have combined to make the Tideflex® Check Valve today’s most reliable valve for backflow prevention. In fact, the first check valve that Tideflex® T echnologies sold in 1984 is still in service today . Over 1,200,000 Tideflex valves have been installed worldwide. 
 MeasurIT have sold and installed Tideflex® valves in Ireland and Northern Ireland since 1989. In 2011 an office was opened in Liverpool to serve the UK market. Tideflex® valves are available for fast delivery to site fr om local stock. We offer factory trained support services on site and to designers. www.measurit.com Page of 1 6

2. “Significant improvement over flapgate valves in terms of leakage inflow, entrapment of debris, capability to self clean and susceptibility to marine fouling.” - EPA in America Delivered in 1984 After two years of testing the EPA issues a report that results in Tideflex valves becoming the standard NRV used for CSO’s and ESO’s throughout America. Just a year later in 1985 a Tideflex is installed at Dunbar, Scotland. THE 1984 EPA REPORT ON THE ORIGINAL VALVE Data drives improvement Comprehensive testing in house and at independent flow labs allows valve geometry and wall stiffness to be modelled Finite Element Analysis is used to create the production protocols to build consistent variable orifice nozzles. These are used in mixing systems and diffusers. Current research is on reservoir mixing systems. Team Built Tideflex® valves are team made by Red Valve Company Inc. in North Carolina. Tideflex valves are built up of fabric reinforced and biased elastomers such as Neopr ene and Buna-N. The complete assembly is then vulcanised. This painstaking process delivers structural integrity for a life span of 25 or more years. Currently over 160 people build valves and the R ed Valve Company is ISO9001:2008 certified. www.measurit.com Page of 2 6

6. Tideflex Series 35 The Tideflex Series 35 in manufactured similarly to the Series TF-2, with the addition of an integral elastomeric flange. The 35 can be mounted to mating flanges or directly to concrete walls. The 35 design has been enhanced by the Series 35-1, flat-bottom, Duckbill Check Valve. The 35-1 requires minimal bottom clearance and the inherent geometry and construction of the 35-1 yields a stronger, more durable check valve. Tideflex Series TF-2 The original Slip On design has a flare on the top and bottom and is the most economical solution for applications where headloss and bottom clearance are not critical. The TF-2 design has been enhanced and superseded by the Tideflex TF-1, flat-bottom Duckbill Check Valve. The TF-1 requires minimal bottom clearance and the inherent geometry and construction of the TF-1 yields a stronger, more durable check valve. The Series 37 in is also used in concrete manholes and structures where the valve is inserted into the effluent pipe and the flange is anchored to the concrete wall with a retaining ring. Tideflex Series 37-G The Tideflex Series 37-G is a special adaptation of the Series 37. The 37-G can be completely inserted into a pipe. The CheckMate model has superseded the Series 37-G for most applications. The CheckMate offers minimal headloss. The 37-G is still available and offers a high backpressure rating. www.measurit.com Page of 6 6
