N. Ireland - River Faughan Project
OUR PRODUCTS
NL/06-I-2007

There are many causes of contamination, leaking oil storage tanks, tanker accidents on bridges, boat tanks leaking, oils refinery spills during loading and unloading and even joyriders driving cars into resevoirs.

All these incidents have happened in Ireland over the last few years.

Early warning of leaks and spills can prevent contamination and protect the environment and water treatment plant from permanent damage.

The OilSpy System has been used since 1998 to minimise damage to rivers and protect drinking water from the effects of these incidents.

It detects floating hydocarbons using a patented polymer membrane which dissolves in the presence of a pollutant and triggers an alarm which can be transmitted by cable, radio or phone link.

The OilSpy Alarm Station can handle up to 99 sensors.

The OilSpy System has specially been designed for:
floating hydrocarbons
chloride solvents

OilSpy for SURFACE water
Standard OilSpy is very simple to set up with fixed or floating system, which can automatically follow the water level variations and does not drift or require any calibration or adjustment.

OilSpy for GROUND water
OilSpy PIEZO is to be installed in a chamber and it is equipped with a membrane installed on a float which follows water level and holds a counterweight. It can be also used where space restrictions do not allow the use of buoys or slides.

Protect drinking water from Hydrocarbon contamination
caused by oil spillages
Minimise clean up costs

The spill has to be only 0.1 mm thick to be detected.
